14th Morph [Accidental Video/Action to Dissimulo]

[The feed starts off with the camera pointing upwards, facing the night sky. Looks normal to be honest...maybe the person on the other end wanted to chat. Then again, it was really late so why then was the communicator on? The answer to that was then revealed:

A familiar blue penguin poked its face out so everyone on the network can see. It didn't make noise but it decided to shake the communicator around like trying to figure out how it worked. It gave a blank look and tried to tilt its head in confusion before dropping it to the ground, spooked by something off the screen.]

...could you tell me what exactly are you doing with my device?

[That was definately Adam's voice asking and it sounded strangely calm for seeing a monster in a building. The prinny attempted to yelp and waddled out of there as fast as it could. Normally, a sane person would go after the little bugger and make it explode; the ranger on the other hand just walked in front of the communicator and sighed before picking it up. He gives a small smile to the audience but if anyone looked at his eyes, they could tell something was wrong.]

I'm sorry about that just now.

[And he shuts off the feed.]

[Conan had snuck out of the house at the first opportunity. There was simply too much to worry over right now. What was the reason behind the disappearances? Heiji and Kazuha. Was their disappearance related to the others? Or were they missing for a different reason?

...None of which stops him from being surprised by the scene he had just witnessed.]

[He thought he was alone in the observatory; it was the best place for him to think on things and just somewhere that was usually quiet. Looking at stars was good when you were feeling depressed.

So yes, he knew Heiji was gone. But he wasn't going to show how upset he was...besides, his friends most likely felt worse than him so he shouldn't mope around.

And of course, he didn't notice Conan nearby.]

[Conan had intended to leave without letting Adam know he was there. He still had a lot of thinking he wanted to finish alone. But as he moves to turn away he steps on a muddy patch in the ground and slips. He can't stop himself from letting out a yelp.]

[Yep, Adam heard that sound alright. It didn't help that his senses were a bit whacked due to lack of sleep but they were still there. He got up and jogged over to where the source of the noise was.]

Conan? Why are you here?

[Conan hastily gets back off the ground, ignoring the mud now spattered all over his clothes.]

I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk insted!
