8th Morph [Video/Action for Dissimulo]

[The camera turns on to a sleeping Adam, lying in bed. His chest is wrapped up like a mummy's due to what happened a week ago and his breathing is steady. One would be surprised that he's been out for an entire week.

There's some twitching from his body as he makes a slight sound.]

Nngh...

[His eyes slowly open as if he were waking up from some wonderful dream...but we all know how far away this dream was.]

Wha...

[He slowly gets up and whinces, one hand over the bandages and hunches over.]

What's going on?

[He looks around the room in a panic.]

Rocky? Aisha? H-hey, where are you guys?!

[His voice is starting to sound frantic as he tries to stand up but falls back down again.]

Please tell me we escaped from that big gold monkey...guys, answer me!

(OOC: Adam is referring to when he and his friends were kidnapped by Goldar; his last memory.)

Some of them probably know you though. And you could always meet new people.

[He finally moves and the camera shows his face; he looks a little timid which it was a stark contrast to how he was a week ago. That confidence that held him vanished. He did look like how he thought he was: some kid lost in god knows where.]

Yeah probably. Don't worry too much Adam, the people here aren't all bad, for once the wild monsters are the more worrisome threat.

[He seems right. After all, Marco did help him...in some weird way. And he was grateful. He didn't push the idea that he had amnesia and told him to stay inside or anything.]

If they're like you, then I won't need to.

But what about these monsters?

Eh all kinds of weird things. Poison plant insect things, behemoths, they're just a nuisance, but if you're sick, they'd probably be a lot worse than that, eh.

[Mentally yes, physically no. At least he doesn't think so. The monster part spooks him a bit and he notices his trusty hatchet on the nightstand. The camera turns to it and he pales.]

...hate to be on the end of that thing.

[Referring to some of the blood still on it. Damn, he didn't clean it very well did he?]

Is it yours?

Dunno, I just found it here...hey, there's something else underneath it.

[He picks up the hatchet and sets it on the bed while picking up the item in question: a notebook.]

What is it? A journal?

It looks like it.

[He opens it and scans the first page.]

I think this is mine. It's in my handwriting...but it doesn't seem to be a normal journal. I think it's some kind of story.

A story? About constellations??

[He skims through the pages and quirks an eyebrow.]

Not sure...is there a frog constellation here?

Something like that. You and I were talking about it back when we first met practically.

We were?

[He looks through the book and stops on a page. Then chuckles.]

I seem that I still stink at drawing.

[He shows the page with some random doodles like a ape and a wolf along with a frog waving to a crane. Also, a bear was pawing another bird who looked kinda out of it, like asking if it was ok in a humorous way.]

That's weird...I don't see any mention of those in here so far...

[In the corner of the page, there was a small doodle of what looked like a firebird. Poorly drawn mind you but it was there followed by one line.]

'The story is far from over'...since when did I get so cryptic? Please tell me I don't act like a crazy person here.

[Points at the firebird.] You don't. But that one represents me. I think the others were your friends.

There might be something about China in there too, you were close with him.

[He had to chuckle at the thought of the other animals as his friends...well, Rocky could pass as an ape but that was just him. Looking at the firebird, he had to wonder what made him draw it...were they close or just people just passing by to say hello?]

I knew someone named China? Kinda a weird nickname.

It's not a nickname. He's China the country personified.

[Processing...processing...does not compute.]

...wait, what?

There's others here like that. Japan, England, there's even male and female versions of them. Beats me why or how. I kind of want to meet personified versions of my world's countries, but I guess that's impossible.

[Still trying to process that countries can be people let alone be two of the same ones except different genders.]

...uh, seems kind of odd. Then again, so is everything else going on today.

[Leave to the guy with a teenage mind to try and figure things out. Yep. Really confused here.]

Pretty much, yeah. This world is a bit strange. And it takes some getting used to.
