[There's a familiar buzzing sound on the network; apparently it's been a little over two weeks since his last post and the communicator wanted to make sure he was alive. However, Adam wasn't holding the device. It proved otherwise because everyone could hear a loud clunk and crash hit the damn thing.]

Whoa, so it can break?

[There's sounds of gathering up something and hitting a mat like he was sitting down. As he speaks, he sounds pretty tired. A mental note to not pull a sun up to nighttime patrol shift anytime soon.]

So I can guess everyone's been getting visitors lately. While I'm glad they're not beings that want to eat brains, they still make me feel a little unhinged. And you can't get rid of them because they come back.

[Pause and gaps.]

...and strike that statement about them breaking.

[There's a pause before he speaks again.]

I'm planning on giving self defense lessons for anyone who wants them after Halloween is over. It doesn't matter if you have skill or not, I'll welcome everyone here who's willing to learn. Just give me a time and we'll work something out. Also, I am up for sparring if anyone wants it.

[Maybe it has or maybe it hasn't if she's used it. Probably doesn't faze the lightning goddess.]

[He's silent for a second.]

[There's a pause for a moment before she decided to answer.]

Out near the garden by the house.

Alright, I'll be over there in a few minutes.

I'll be fine, don't worry.

[Turning off feed and heading out.]

[Looks at her communicator as the feed ended and gave a heavy sigh. Not that she was worried or anything with him coming over, since he healed up nice enough over the last weeks.

She put it in her pocket before going to pull some weeds out of the dirt away from some of the flowers. Luckily these kinds can sustain colder weather.]

[It's only been ten minutes since the last broadcast but he makes it to the garden. He still looks a little tired but sleep can wait.]

[She was still here like she said. Eventually she stood up dusting off her skirt when she noticed him.]

You didn't have to come over this way to see me you know. Unless it was that important.

[He sighs. They couldn't avoid this forever after all.]

It is. We need to talk about what happened.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. If it's about your memory loss you weren't that much trouble.
[You'll have to be more specific.]

[A sigh.]

I'm talking about the how. I know what happened and we can't dance around it forever.

[She figured Adam didn't have a clue to that night other than bits and pieces that didn't include her, when it was all her fault. She's been feeling this really heavy sense of guilt for not say so...but he had been recovering and she didn't want to tell him just yet. It wasn't like she was never going to tell him. It's more difficult to think up any excuse on the spot right now.]</small

[She couldn't look him in the face. For the last weeks she'd try to have little to no eye contact with him. How could she look him in the face after what she did? It was more than just a bruised pride being a guardian and swearing to protect others with her very life.]

[His voice wasn't stern but held concern for the woman. He then takes her hand gently.]

Please, don't look away.

[She bit down on her bottom lip tightly to keep it from quivering. There were tears already running from to corners of her eyes and streaming down her face. She could feel her heart clenching in her chest as she tried to form the words out of her mouth.]

...s-sorry...I'm so sorry. My fault...it was all my fault you even....

No, don't apologize.

[He finds himself pulling her close, hugging her tight.]

It wasn't your fault...it was mine.

[It was getting more difficult to fight back all the emotions and keep herself from crying uncontrollably against him. It hurt more than anything and her heart was always painfully reminding her every other day with the guilt that was weighing on it. Slowly crushing it.]

H-how can you even say something like that? From the coma, to the memory loss, and that scar you have on your chest was all my doing....! I wanted to tell you before, but you didn't seem to remember and I've been reluctant to bring it up since you've been r..recovering. I thought it better to leave it, but....but....

[It was really eating her inside wasn't it? So much gulit for one person to carry alone...and he was also to blame as well. If he didn't act like he did, she wouldn't have never shocked him and they wouldn't be having this conversation. But before they could move on, Adam had to let her know that everything is alright and that it was ok to let her emotions go.]

[She had did quite a lot of crying when she realized how badly she hurt Adam. It was a terrible feeling to have and at first she thought she may have killed him and to her relief she didn't. She wouldn't think she would have been able to ever forgive herself if she had done such a thing. Having the innocent blood of a friend on her hands.

Her head lowered and her visioned blurred through the tears that built up in her eyes as she closed them tightly and cried choking back on her tears.]

N-no...a..ahh..it w-won't....! I....I can't forgive myself for what...[She couldn't help but stray off as she cried again. The feeling leaving her body trembling and spasming each time as she shook her head.]

It....wasn't right! I couldn't even control my own powers or my..self...!

But I forgive you. It wasn't your fault that your powers went like that, blame the folks who installed that chip in.

[All he could do right now was to just be there and listen to her. Right now, he wasn't going anywhere.]

I don't feel like you should....I wouldn't...nnghhh..!
[Hopefully she didn't hurt anyone else. Most of the night was a bit of a blur until she realized the consequences that befallen that night. Her head forehead pressed against his shoulder unable to speak much between all the sobbing. to the point where here eyes were sore from being red and puffy. Why did you have to be so forgiving?

Why did you have to be just like HER for?]

But I do.

[He wouldn't let her hurt someone else; that was why he told her that he would take that punishment. As a ranger and as her friend, Adam would take that pain for her and for the town. It was because he was that type of man. Just let it all out, Makoto.]
