[The feed starts off by turning on to somewhere outside. The communicator doesn't give much clues to where the person in question is except that there's blacktop. There's a soft plop sound off to the side as Adam walks by clad in only his black jeans and shoes because it was warm and able to take off some clothing was a relief.]

This looks good.

[He's referring to the spot for doing something, his back to the communicator. He walks to the middle of the area and stands still with his arms bent to his front and his head down.

So what was the point of this? The feed then shows him bending both knees in a crouching position and he suddenly whips his right arm out in a chopping move. Slowly moving the arm to him, he jumps up using his uninjured leg's weight and performs another chopping move. The man then starts moving his feet quickly that someone would think he was trying out a dance but when he performed a spinning kick, that thought was set aside. The feed is still going even if he doesn't notice. Still going on with his practice.]

((OOC: Adam's practicing his kung fu at the high school. If you wanna bug him, be careful otherwise he might hit you on accident.))

[Don't mind him; he's staring at Kresnik like...studying something.]

...how good are you at hand-to-hand?

I'll admit that hand-to-hand isn't my specialty, but I know basic maneuvers. [Probably whatever close-range combat that is taught at the military.]

Alright then. [He smiles slightly and stands still, facing him.]

Then show me what you got.

[He tosses the dagger that's strapped to his belt aside before walking forward to Adam. He doesn't attack yet, just watching his movements for now.]

[And the ranger is watching the young man as well, taking in how he walks into position and how he holds himself. However, he wasn't going to make the first move. Oh no, he's going to try and coax Kresnik to do it.

He folds his arms over his chest and gives him a simple look: Attack me. Don't let this fool you.]

[He narrows his eyes slightly, taking in Adam's stance. He raises his fists slightly, but still doesn't attack yet.]

[So far, so good. He was reacting to his expression but he just wouldn't budge! Well, coaxing him wasn't going to work; he was analyzing so why not throw a curve ball in his strategy? Setting his arms down but not completely, he started to shuffle his feet in a circular motion. He smirks at the young commander then rushes towards him with his right arm raised and his hand in the 'chopping' position. By reading this, one would think he would be attacking Kresnik's right side or a hit directly into the chest.

However, he was barely a couple inches away from him when the positions of his arms changed. Instead of his right arm, the ranger started by using his left hand and hitting a spot on Kresnik's left side then switching back to the right and going for the supposed first target.]

[He readies himself to block Adam's first attack, but he wasn't expecting the ranger to suddenly switch hands, taking the blow to his left side.

However, he doesn't falter and manages to block the right hand before it strikes him, shifting to punch towards Adam's face.]

[And the ranger moves his head back quickly before the commander's punch coud make contact. His thinking: not bad. Has potential...but let's see how far it goes. Talk was cheap and he was going to let his fists do it for him.

Within a quick second, he shifted his body forward and moved his arm on Kresnik's attacking one and using his other hand in a 'claw' position move on his face. This is an actual Shaolin move called 'Single Tiger Presents Claw'...yeah, that's the actual name.

Before his opponent could strike back, he swiftly moves the arm 'resting' on Kresnik's attacking one and spins to his back, giving him a good kick with enough force to sending him falling on his back.]

[Kresnik isn't able to move in time, taking the blow as he stumbles back. He manages to keep his footing though, looking at Adam again as he raises his fists.]

Not bad for someone who knows the basics.

[He then smiles (or was it as smirk? It was a mix of both actually if anyone can pull that off. Now it was time to end this so there was one shot left. The man then moved his uninjured leg forward and the other one back, bent them both slightly and positioned his arms that his right was bent back and his left was reaching out. Both hands were in the 'claw' position except for one moment where he moved his left hand, brought his fingers together, and bent them three times.

It was the sign of 'You come over here'. Yep, that epic sign.]

[Kresnik normally wouldn't attack first, but perhaps he should since Adam did the last time... He isn't aware of all the customs that a martial artist might have, so he steps forward before rushing towards him.

And I'm pretty terrible with writing fight scenes, but Kresnik jumps in the air before swinging a kick down at him.]

[Normally when someone is about to get kicked from above, they'd run away from the attacker. Not in Adam's case. He turns his body out of Kresnik's line of fire and counters by using his left arm to hit the commander in the stomach area and to use the weight to push him down on the ground. Next thing anyone knew, the ranger was on top of him with his right hand on his neck, in the chop position, barely pressing on a pressure point.

The fight was over and Adam saw what he needed to see. Kresnik was one determined son of a bitch and had potential to do great things.

Thankfully it was only them in the area otherwise someone might be questioning their current position. Adam didn't even think about it and got up, reaching a hand to his opponent.]

You did pretty good there.

[He holds back a cry of pain as he's slammed into the ground. Ow, that hurt. However, Kresnik stares up at Adam, still looking determined even with the right hand pressing onto his neck.

The soldier slowly sits up when Adam gets off, taking the offered hand.]

...Thanks. [...] Not as skilled as you, however.

It took a lot of practice. Fell down more than successes.

[And beating up Putties helped.]

You got a lot of potential there; if you're ever up for another spar, let me know.

[He nods briefly]

I'll keep that in mind. [Pause] I should work on my close-ranged capabilities...
